GCCMail: Thank-you, everyone.

Hello,
Yesterday, while watching the finish of one of the criteriums, I was
struck by a racer who had swerved across the barrier to avoid a rider
who had fallen in front of him. The collision was nobody's fault: more
a matter of both of us being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The impact was a solid one which left me slightly rattled & I was
having difficulty staying conscious each time I tried to get to my
feet. The Techs were called, took vitals & it was decided that I
should be taken to the ER. Once in the van, they put me on the drip
where I was right as rain within minutes. At the ER, blood tests were
taken as well as an EKG & the news was all good. I was released
shortly afterwards & have only minor cuts & scrapes to show for the
incident.
I want to thank all of you who were there while I was sort of
drifting in & out. Those were some frightening moments for me & it was
very reassuring to see everyone there. I knew that things really were
"going to be ok". Don't worry, you'll all still have the pleasure of
staring at my hairy back as soon as the weather permits.
Thanks Again,
Ed Joy
