GCCMail: For JamesT and other cyclists desiring a crosstraining workout Fwd: Thursday 11-11-2010 Happy Hour Run Markie Ou 09 Nov 2010 15:37 EST

In response to James Thompson's talk of a westside crosstraining run,
why not check out this established Thursday run starting at Tipple's
Brews? See the forwarded message below. Run and then enjoy a beer with
everybody...

Just a reminder that the Thursday Happy Hour run has been meeting at
5:30 PM with a 5:45 PM departure to run the beer run 4 mile route,
same route that was used for the October 1st Beer Run 4 Mile race:

The pace ranges from 8:00 to 10:00/mile with plenty of conversation
and camaraderie.
The weather has been exceptionally pleasant lately and Tipple's has
been a
very gracious host for this weekly run. Afterwards stick around and
grab a beer! My recommendation for the week: Cigar City "Either" and
"Or". These black IPA's (dark malt, but plenty of hoppy goodness) have
a cool story and with their high ABV (11.2%), should warm you up
quickly after a nice run in this crisp fall weather.

Also, if there is enough interest, we can always bump up the starting
time of the run to accommodate daylight savings time. I know starting
earlier may inconvenience some people, so I propose we stick to our
regular schedule for at least a couple more weeks or until we reach a
consensus on a new starting time.
