And I should explain that we're not calling Ben names - his jersey advertises "Arrogant Bastard Ale"! Eight of us mostly Gliders rode the Endless Watermelon ride from Baldwin up to Folkston, Georgia and back this weekend and we all finished together in good shape! This was Len, Jen, Barb, Richard, Fred, Ellen, Mike and the "Arrogant Bastard" who pulled us all the way home. We're no wimps - we rode the Express Route bypassing the first rest-stop - 46 miles into the headwind. And our second rest-stop was at 76 miles. In fact some folks sped up the road past the last rest-stop - but they missed out on some super brownies! In fact those brownies revitalized us so much that a few of us blew right past the finish! That was 109 miles for us energized folks! We also linked up with a couple other GCC riders along the way - Fred (the tall Fred) who started a bit late and others. So GCC was well represented.
