GCCMail: Bee-17 Ride to Jumbolair is still ON as of now for an 8:15 ride start Ed Gardner 29 Oct 2011 05:28 EDT

If you rolled out of bed at 5AM like I did, you hear light rain
pitter-pattering on the roof. But, weather radar shows this to be a
frontal passage with cooler drier air right behind it and bright
sunshine breaking through a little later this morning. IF we get to
Flemington and the passage is not yet complete, we will simply wait a
few minutes until it stops and start a little later. I think it is
probably already going to be dry by 8:15, but they don't pay me to
forecast the weather for a reason.

I will post AGAIN at 7AM, since that still gives plenty of time to get
to Flemington; if it looks like the situation is majorly different from
what it looks like now we will go to Plan B, but it is already NOT
raining slightly west of Gaineville and the front seems to be moving
through fast, so *I* am going to proceed with getting ready to go as
planned, and leave here to drive to Flemington about 7:20. My cell
number is 353-332-5678 if anyone needs to talk about it (and you don't
catch me in the shower, in which case I will call you right back).
