I'm hoping some of you can spend a few hours of your time, to help out
the Friends of San Felasco for two upcoming events:

           1) The 8 HOURS OF LABOR on Sunday September 4th
           2) Round 5 of the Florida State Mountain Bike Championships on
Sunday October 23rd

On the day of the event we'll need volunteers to help with the following
:

i) Taking donations for the CSO at the gate (7 am-10:30 am)

ii) Horse marshals (8hrs of Labor: 10am-6pm, FSC round#5: 9am-1pm) -
sitting at horse trail crossings to be a traffic coordinator between
horses and bikers.

iii) Clean-up Crew after the event (8hrs of Labor: 6-8pm, FSC round#5:
1-3pm ) This is done by riding the course & picking up arrows,
shimano-tape & any litter so if you volunteer for this you'll need a
bike.

We'll set up the volunteers in shifts so that nobody is stuck on the same
job for hours & we'll have a CSO "tent" set up at the Start/Finish so
you'll
have a home "base" to put your stuff & so you'll be situated right at the
heart of the action.

If you're able to help, please email me at xxxxxx@xxxxxxx to let me know
what position you would like, the time/day you are available and your
cell phone number.

I'll be in touch with all volunteers to co-ordinate all the details
etc...

These events have proven to be great advertisements for the preserve &
have raised thousands of dollars in donations to support the CSO's
activities within the park. Any help you can provide will be greatly
appreciated.
