Thanks to all who responded with helpful suggestions on how to achieve this hookup. I am now able to watch the live streaming for the Giro D'Italia on my TV, and the quality is quite good.

Hey, this is better than Versus, no talking heads, no commercials, just cycling with voice over narration. Almost like being there.
