Her name is Daniella and she is a good friend of one of our cabin mates, Gilberto Ramirez. She is from Miami and came up with a group of S. Florida cyclists to Clermont regularly to train with him the last 2 months. As of this morning she is in the hospital in Chattanooga in a coma.

The word we had last night at the cabin was that she was descending Hogpen solo when she went down. The first cyclist behind luckily was a surgeon followed shortly by a nurse. They immediately provided emergency care and reported the gravity of her injuries. A Care Flight evacuated her to Chattanooga.

Keep her in our prayers.
