GCCMail: Desperately Seeking Susan Gary Greenberg 23 Sep 2007 22:18 EDT

Now that I've got your attention, what I really need is YOUR help.
The Gainesville Cycling Festival is roughly three weeks away.
The list of open volunteer positions is voluminous!
And, there are NO paid positions.

The Horse Farm Hundred is a great ride because you make it so. You
make it possible for everyone to have a great day by volunteering your
time, energy and
taking care of the riders.
If you're riding Saturday, please volunteer to work Sunday.
If you're riding Sunday, please volunteer to work Saturday.
If you're riding both Saturday and Sunday, please volunteer for the
packet stuffing party, putting out signs before the ride, or cleanup
the days following.
IF you're doing less than a century either day, there's probably
something you can help with in the afternoon of that day.

Right now we still need people to put out directional aid signs on all courses.
We need people to do pre-ride work that makes the ride possible for
those who can't volunteer during the weekend. These week night hours
make feeding during the rides a reality. We still need volunteers to
feed the riders at lunch and other places on the Horse Farm Hundred.
We need registration help at the HFH -- you can do that and still
ride. ;-)

Volunteers are the only way this event works. Please help keep it working well.
Go to: http://gainesvillecyclingclub.org, move your mouse over the
Members Area and select the menu choice for Festival Volunteers to
find something you can do. Or, call Roger or call me.

Thank you,
Gary Greenberg
Festival Aid Director
