GCCMail: A great ride for a great cause. james thompson 03 Nov 2009 21:33 EST

North Florida Riders,

Please join this awesome event (detailed below) to bring honor,
recognition, and hope to all of the military people and their families
who have served our country. This is not about politics or where you
stand on war, just about supporting friends, family, and citizens who
have made the ultimate commitment and sacrifice to serving our country
on our behalf. The experience of welcoming back and supporting
returning veterans is critical to the function of society, especially
during difficult political times, and now someone is channeling that
good project through cycling. I urge you all to take this awesome
opportunity to let our brothers and sisters and their families know we
are glad to have them home, and that their service will not be
forgotten. Simply showing up, providing a handshake and a thank you,
can mean all the world to someone who has returned from war. It is
also a good chance to meet the staff, officers, medical personnel, and
others who make the difficult transition back to civilian life
possible.

Regards,

James T.
