GCCMail: San Felasco: Florida State Championship 5 Gone Riding Bicycle Event volunteer request Lee Ross 17 Oct 2011 08:34 EDT

<blockquote style="border-left: #5555EE solid 0.2em; margin: 0em; padding-left: 0.85em">Hi fellow GCC members. Please see the message below for a request for
volunteers for this Sunday, October 23, at a bicycle event at San Felasco
Hammock Preserve State Park
(http://www.goneriding.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=187&Itemid=228).
I know this is also the date for the GCC Horse Farm Hundred ride, which
many are participating in or volunteering for, but wanted to pass on this
information from Dave Baggaley:

Hello Everyone,
<blockquote style="border-left: #5555EE solid 0.2em; margin: 0em; padding-left: 0.85em">The Florida State Mountain Bike Championships are coming to San Felasco
this weekend.

If anyone is available to help out please let me know.

The jobs are:

07:00 - 10:00 - Collecting donations for trail-building at the gate.

09:30 - noon - Acting as a marshal at the points where the bike trails &
horse trails cross. (Please bring a Lawn-chair & bug spray)

1:30ish.. Ride the course & pull down the arrows (Normally we split this
into 3 or 4 so each section is just a couple of miles at most.)

Even if you're riding in the event there's still an opportunity to help
out at the gate before the start!

I know there's a GCC event on in town that weekend also so we may be
short of a few of our regular volunteers. Even if you can only make it
for an hour or so - your time will be gratefully appreciated.

Many thanks again,
Dave Baggaley
