GCCMail: Slow Ride This Saturday 18 February on the Nature Coast George Edwards 13 Feb 2006 12:23 EST

Dear Friends:

This Saturday 18 February we will lead an EZ Riders-type ride on the
Nature Coast Trail. We will depart the old depot on North Main in
Trenton at 9:00 AM, returning there about Noon for a pig-out at the Olde
Boarding House. The ride will be at out standard painfully slow pace
(about 12 mph on the cruise control), with frequent stops for
wildflowers, and of course a good long stop on the Suwanee River Bridge
to examine the water. This ride is ideal for families and beginners:
No one is left behind.

The long-range weather forecast is for warm and sunny.

Bring water, sunscreen, wildflower books, whatever. There have been
many wildflowers starting to bloom on the Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail
recently, violets, spiderwort, Flatwoods Plum, Carolina jasmine, etc.,
and the Nature Coast is always better for flowers.

To get to the depot go west on SR 26 (Newberry Road) through Newberry to
Trenton, turn Right on North Main, and the depot will be on your Left in
about 3 blocks. There is parking on either side of the depot.

Questions? Contact me by email or phone at 333.3184.

Cheers,

George
