GCCMail: A suggestion as to how you can help make the roads safer

Dear GCC members,
Now that we have the phone numbers of someone we know in both the county and state roads who will see to it that road hazards get fixed, we can move on to safer roads.
So I put those numbers in my cell with the idea of calling whenever I see one of those hazards in the future. Then I got to thinking, "Do I really want to call in the middle of a ride and deal with possibly being put on hold, or connecting with a series of functionaries before I manage to actually report a hazard?" I don't think so! Of course then I also have the problem that I will get back in to the groove of the ride, establish an endorphin level again and be rocked to sleep on the road hazard and forget all about it, until I run across it again.
Solution: I call my home phone now and leave myself a voice message to remind me about it, indicating the exact place and location with respect to an intersection and estimates of mileage to it. Hey, this works. No forgetting! And it doesn't interfere with the ride.
Thanks again to Mike Steinberg for getting with the people in our govt and helping to make our roads a little bit safer. Now if we could just get rid of all those text messagers.
