Cyclists,

I did some exploring Sunday morning and would like to report 53rd Ave
(232) has a newly paved bike lane all the way to Waldo Road.

Head East from "our Chevron" and just before Waldo Road, turn North onto
CR 225 (towards Gainesville Raceway).  This road is a little bumpy, but
not bad, then opens into a nice bike lane again. After a while you can
decide if you want to go West towards Brooker or East to Waldo (CR
1475). The route was very flat and lightly traveled.

I enjoyed pedaling through exotic Eastern locales such as Monteocha,
Waldo, Earleton, Rex and Hawthorne. I returned to Gainesville on the G-H
Trail, but there are other ways home (about 60 miles round-trip from NE
Gainesville). So, if you are tired of laying rubber down on our typical
northwestern rides, consider this Eastern option.
