I'd like to make this a regular ride along with the Wednesday ride,
for now it will be ad hoc week to week. Same speed limits and
parameters. 18mph limit, no drop, double pace line, fit riders who
want to learn to ride in a group safely and efficiently are our
target. Experienced riders are needed and encouraged (great recovery
day for you, and you'll be making your own rides safer later). So far
on all the rides we've done, I think I'm the only one who has had to
get "a tow" back into town. That is to say, everyone seems pretty
good at guaging their ability to do this ride, so trust yourself. If
you can ride 16mph alone for an hour, you'll be fine with us in the
draft. Experience tells me you'll be riding like a pro (just slower)
in a matter of hours, or all of your money back (just kidding).
We meet at the old Chain Rx bikes building until further notice, 1630
w. university ave next to The Swamp Restaurant at 6:00. Rollout 6:15,
ride = 25 to 35 miles (less than two hours) and we usually stop
briefly for water once each ride during the summer months.
Ride On,
