Hello GCCers,

It's that annoying newbie guy from Oregon again with more newbie questions:

Can you ride a bike across the Shands bridge over the St. Johns outside of
Green Cove Springs?  Looks very narrow and scary and loooong?

I'm planning a one week semi-loaded tour from G'ville thru Green Cove to
St Augustine, then down A1A to Palm Coast and back across to Palatka and
home to G'ville - roughly.  Open to detours or complete changes in route.

But I think this is almost exactly the 06 route of Bike Florida?  If
anyone wants to share the route specifics, I would appreciate it.  But
really interested in even more weird and low traffic back roads, including
(especially) shell rock.  Will  have a bike to handle moderate unpaved
conditions.

Any suggestions as to route, maps, warnings, etc. appreciated.  We may be
motel/ B&Bing it so if you have suggestions on good places to stop,
interested in that too.
