I thought your comments were well-considered and accurate, and I didn't take offense at all -- it's probably best not to provoke a deranged person into attacking you with his car when you're on a bike.

Seems like I managed to insult a few people by mentioning particular group rides I've been on. I've complained about safety lately on certain group rides, so I thought by mentioning everyone, no one would take it personally. I obviously failed. And although I work at a local shop, I certainly don't represent them when I write as an individual cyclist. In fact, my co-workers often disagree with my opinions. I am occasionally outspoken, as many of you know, and longwinded, and I try to choose my words with care and for good purpose as a long-time student of vehicular cycling and advocate for safety. Here, I failed. I'll try to continue to improve on my tact, with my apology hopefully accepted.
