Hi folks,

Sorry I’m late to announce this, but we’ll have a cemetery TT this
Saturday instead of the intervals. It will be at the usual time and
place (8 am at Turlington).

This is a traditional “race” we do a few times a year. It’s a 7.1 mile
individual time trial, meaning you’re racing a clock and not other
people. It’s very informal: no numbers, registration, or prizes (just
glory and immortality in the master spreadsheet). We just time you so
you can see where your fitness is now, and you’ll have a great barometer
as you improve during team training. We’ll explain it more when you get
there, but everyone should give it a shot, especially the new people.

I would appreciate one volunteer to help me time it, since I’d like to
race it this time. We’ll have another in a couple weeks that I’ll time
myself. Please reply if you’re available for this. I might even buy you
BBQ at the pearl country store.

Rules:

TT bikes, skinsuits, aerobars, etc. are fine, but don’t get too wacky
with equipment. We don’t want anyone stranded with a tubular tire or a
90 mm rim that no one has a spare tube for. This is for your own time,
so the most important thing is that you use the same equipment each time
you do it.
