GCCMail: A-Riders Weekend - North / South - "Near" Century ride on Saturday - Rut Risers rejoice! Jayson O'Mahoney 13 Aug 2010 00:20 EDT

Saturday-NORTH: This weeks' century route will take in the areas of
Newnan's Lake, Melrose, outskirts of Keystone Heights, Hampton before
eventually heading to Brooker (over some new roads) and back south
into Gainesville. K-Dogg's note from last week applies: "Please
inform the Rut Risers that hundreds of miles of beautiful roads were
recently discovered East and North of Gainesville. No longer must
they be chained to a Sisyphean regiment of 241 and 236 every Saturday.
I invite them to break their connubial choke chains, don a Viking
helmet and run amok on some new roads."

Meet at 7:00am, leave around 7:15am. We will have at least two store
stops, likely in towns of Melrose, Hampton, Brooker or wherever else
we feel like stopping. Bring along an extra bottle if you need to, no
whinging or bleating please.

Sunday-SOUTH: Meet at 8am, depart at 8:15am.

NORTHERN ROUTES:
MEET: At the Chevron Petrol station @ NW 43rd St and 53rd Ave (Hunters
Crossing and Millhopper Road)

PARK: In along NW 43rd St. Start at the north end and work south.

SOUTHERN ROUTES:
MEET: At the "Kangaroo" on the NW corner of SW 34th St and Williston Road...

PARK: If you park in the Publix parking lot please park as close to
34th Street as possible. We want to keep the spots close to the stores
open for shoppers, hopefully we can keep a low profile and not become
a problem to the businesses in the plaza.

Thanks for your help with this!
