GCCMail: A Riders - Daytime Limerock (Sludgerock) Ride - Saturday December 5th - is OFF Jayson O'Mahoney 05 Dec 2009 07:52 EST

Due to the Limerock becoming Sludgerock overnight, I'm canceling this
ride. Will reschedule to another time.

A good idea for today would be to join the A's ride leaving from the
Millhopper area Chevron at 11am.

Regards,

Jayson

Subject: A Riders - Daytime Limerock Ride - Saturday December 5th
To: GCCMail <gccmail@xxxxxxxxxx>

When: Saturday, 9am, rollout not long after.  This ride will coincide
with Ms Cathy Bester's MTB Limerock ride.  We will probably start
together but end up doing our own A ride.

Where: (Jonesville Publix)
http://maps.google.com/maps?source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=jonesville+publix,&sll=29.641333,-82.429196&sspn=0.014323,0.024505&ie=UTF8&hq=jonesville+publix,&hnear=Florida&ll=29.654042,-82.494691&spn=0,359.901981&z=14&layer=c&cbll=29.654042,-82.494934&panoid=EPlBNFnuQoLoZsTNsTQZfg&cbp=12,2.05,,0,12.25

December is upon us which is a good time to start (W)interval
workouts.  We'll regroup at the end of each limerock section to
collect dropped riders.  However, we will be averaging GREATER than
11-14 mph so keep this in mind.

Many of the roads in this neck of the woods are Limerock / Dirt.  With
some of the recent rains, much of this route is rideable with fat tyre
road bikes, i.e. 25mm or wider.  It's recommended you bring along such
a machine, a Cross Bike, or an MTB with slicks.  Route is going to be
about 50 - 60 miles of mostly limerock.

BIG thanks to Jimbo from Tallahassee for showing me a lot of roads!

General rule of thumb: The slower the ride, the more rules there are.
We don't need to state a bunch of common-sense rules in bold text for
this ride - the emphasis here is on fun and good training!

RSVP to me if you can make it.

Jayson
PS Derek, you should some on this ride...
