HighBee Ride / June 2nd Michael Steinberg 31 May 2012 12:44 EDT
This week's ride info:
Day: Saturday, June 2nd
Time: 7:00 am meeting, 7:15 am departure
Meeting Place: Parking lot in front of Publix at Steeplechase, on Newberry Road at NW 143rd Street in the Jonesville area. We'll meet in the southern part of the parking lot just east of SunTrust so we are out of the way of the parking for those shopping.
Route and Mileage: We will do a 58 mile route starting at Publix in Jonesville and running east to Parker Rd. south to Archer Rd, west to Archer, south to CR 343 near Williston, west to CR 241 and north to Archer, then north on US 27 to Newberry, east to CR 235, north to CR 232, east to CR 241 N and south to Publix. For those wishing to ride a shorter route there will be some cutting off when we pass through Archer the first time and doing the remainder of the route that the others will do when the pass through Archer the second time. Essentially, the shorter route will be the northern 36 miles or the total route. See MapMyRide.com map at the link below:

Pace: The HighBees ride pace is about 18 MPH. This is a friendly, no drop ride; we re-group at all turns when needed.
Membership Requirements: Please note that HighBee rides are open to all GCC members who wish to participate. Those that are non-members may ride with the group as a guest of a sponsoring member once without being required to be a member.
NOTE: I went to the website to try to post the ride on the ride schedule and found it to be a big pain, so the old fashioned e-mail system will have to do. Just be glad it isn't the 1980's and we need to do a phone tree to let everyone know about a ride.
