Since October 2007, the GCC has supported the "Pink Ribbon Jersey,"  designed by member and breast cancer survivor Barb Thomas.  From the time of the jersey's debut at the GCC's festival that year, cyclists in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Israel, the UK, and all over the U.S. have purchased the copyrighted jersey, helping to raise $13,000 to date for breast cancer research.........
The design has been updated from the original design, but both are still available, in women's and men's short sleeved and sleeveless jerseys, as well as singlets (preferred by some runners and walkers) and matching gloves.   Men's jerseys are a relaxed cut; women's are pro-fit (and run about one size small).
100% of net proceeds are donated to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation, www.FloridaBreastCancer.org, to be used in research and in its "direct services" program, which "aids in providing low-income, uninsured women with screenings and treatment."
