This week's ride info:
Day: Saturday, May 12th
Time: 8:00am meeting, 8:15 departure
Meeting Place: Kangaroo, on the corner of SW 34th St and Williston Road. Park in the Publix parking lot adjacent to Kangaroo (the usual place).
Route and Mileage: We'll ride the Windsor ride with a stop in Windsor to spend maybe 20-30 minutes at the Windsor Annual Zucchini Festival as the rest stop and enjoy some zucchini bread, zucchini ice cream, zucchini whatever...you get the picture. We've done this one before and everyone enjoyed the ride. The ride can be a 41 mile ride or with the additional loop, a 56 mile ride. I'll leave it up to those who ride on Saturday to decide which route to take or some may split off and do the longer route after the stop at the Zucchini Festival. Pace: The HighBees ride pace is about 18-19 MPH. This is a friendly, no drop ride; we re-group at all turns when needed.
If you are new to GCC and are looking for a weekly ride with a moderate pace and moderate distance, please feel free to join us.
NOTE: Penny and I will be at a family event in Jacksonville Saturday and Steve Howell has graciously agreed to lead the ride. I'm sorry to be missing the ride, especially the Zucchini Festival ride.
