It's May Adopt-a-Road time! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Allyson Gill 09 May 2021 13:43 EDT
GCC Friends,
GCC’s quarterly Adopt-A-Road litter cleanup will occur this FRIDAY, May 14th. This is our regularly-scheduled Club-supported event on behalf of Keep Alachua County Beautiful. I’m looking for a few volunteers to make the task quicker and easier.
Weekends are getting busier now that many of us are vaccinated against COVID-19, and group riding is finally a thing again. We’re trying something new by doing this on a Friday morning (rather than on the weekend) when there may be some folks with a few free hours on their schedule who are willing to help out.
We will meet at 0745 and start the cleanup at 0800. Safety vests, trash grabbers, trash bags, and wheeled carts will be provided.
Bring a hat, sunscreen, work gloves, water, and a snack.
We meet in the parking lot of the Main Street Plaza shopping center (N. Main ST and NW 10th AVE, same shopping center as the Main Street Publix).
Reply to this email or call/text me at (352) 745-2011 to RSVP, or with questions.
Hope you can make it.
Thanks!
