So far 28 people have RSVP'd to the Oleno Picnic on Saturday.   Please RSVP by Friday 7 a.m. so I will know how much chili to prepare.

 

If possible, RSVP on the GCC website in teh "Members area"    If you have trouble with accessing the website, you can RSVP directly to this e-mail.

 

No matter how cold or wet the weather, we will have a picnic at Oleno starting a little before noon.  Because of weather,  people may want to bring thermoses of hot coffee, hot chocolate or hot tea.

 

In the 23 years of the January picnic at Oleno, there have three instances of extreme cold weather.  I remember heating chili at Oleno, wondering if anyone would show up, since no one showed up to ride bikes.  At 11:45 a steady stream of cars parked in the parking lot and many people showed up to feast and then hike on the historic trails.
