Hi George,

Yesterday (10-24-13) my wife & I rode from Twin Lakes Park east of Keystone Heights due east to the end of the present segment of the Lake Butler-Palatka trail. It is now in excellent shape with all construction apparently completed. The trail now extends 4.7 miles further east than the previous terminus just east of Florahome, to Roberts Lane.  This is a nearly 30 mile pleasant, safe, beautiful, and scenic round trip from Twin Lakes Park and, I think, approximately a 40 mile round trip including the western section to its terminus just west of Keystone Heights, as Bruce Bush reports in a recent Feet First blog. Cyclists can also Park in various business lots at the intersection of SR 21 & 100 in downtown Keystone Heights for about a 35 mile round trip to the east terminus.

Completion of the Archer Braid Trail to Haile Plantation looks a ways off, till next Fall:

 Happy cycling all!
