    GCCers,
I just wanted to say congrats to everyone this weekend who participated in one or both century rides.  I had a lot of fun hanging out at the sag stops and saw a lot of familiar faces.
Also, a big Thank You to all the volunteers.  I know i personally enjoyed more than a handful of humus, and/or pb&j sandwiches!
    What an awesome weekend!

    Fred,
Thank you for your fantastic efforts at the sag stops.  In particular, I was impressed with the efforts you made to assist an attendee who made the trip from Lakeland, FL. Without the Gator Cycle loaner bike, and the time you spent configuring the machine for him, he would have ridden Saturday's event only.
To emphasize what Fred said, thank you again to all the volunteers. Without volunteer help, the GCC could not possibly stage events like this.  And thank you to all who stopped to meet and greet with me.  It was fabulous putting names to faces, hearing positive feedback about the century events and the club's recent victory in the National Mileage Challenge!
    Regards,

    Lost Red Surfas Sunglasses
Hello Jayson, I am inquiring to see if anyone turned in a pair of red Serfas sunglasses?  They have prescription inserts. If I need to contact someone else if you could be so kind to let me know, I would greatly appreciate it. I began and ended my ride at Flemington riding the 45 mile group. Btw, the ride was great!  Thank you for your time. Many thanks to all of the volunteers who made the Gainesville Cycling Festival possible.  We had a great weekend, with great weather.

Not much this year in the found box:

    Sunglasses, clear frame, blue lenses

Left hand only, glove, silver black, size XL

Registration activities are on hold right now as the Registrar is also the Aid Director AND the Truck Director, both of which are requiring work today.  We’ll have final registration numbers once we’re able to dive into the paperwork.  We need more top level volunteers next year to fill several important positions.

    Roger Pierce

    Director, Gainesville Cycling Festival

    Registrar, Gainesville Cycling Festival

    Aid Director, Gainesville Cycling Festival

    Truck Director, Gainesville Cycling Festival

    Equipment Director, Gainesville Cycling Festival

Greetings fellow limerock road riding enthusiasts,
The GCX night time riding season kicks off Tuesday, October 29 at De Soto Park, Hague.  Calendar entries for the season will begin appearing soon.
Rides will take place Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Tuesday evening is intended to be the harder and longer of the two days, while Thursday is intended to be shorter and easier.  While not finalized just yet, the Thursday evening ride may begin at a different location, possibly in town (once I have figured out a route).
If you have any questions, please respond to me directly.

    Jayson
