GCCers,

Many of you will be participating in one, if not both the events this upcoming weekend and will be looking to get your bicycles in tip top shape.

I would urge that If you plan on getting some service work done, try and get your bike into your favorite shop ASAP!

Without fail, every Friday before a large weekend event, many folks will bring in their bikes in need of tune-ups, tires, chains, etc, and we become overloaded with repairs that need to be done before the days end.

We have always accommodated our customers, but as a general practice I'd suggest getting your bike in order sooner than later.

As a mechanic, it is always nice to be able to work free from the pressure of time constraints (this ensures the best possible outcome or your service work).

An added benefit of early preparation is the ability to work out any kinks after some service work is done.  Cables stretch, spokes can lose tension, and these are things you don't want to find 60 miles in to your 100 mile effort!
