If you have had the opportunity to cycle or drive the section of NW 8th AVE that was recently remarked by our City Public Works staff, at the request of our City Commission, as a "test run" to see how a new lane configuration would affect car and bicycle traffic.
What was once a 4-lane (2 lanes in each direction) is currently a 3-lane road (one lane in each direction, with a left turn lane down the middle), with a 4-foot-wide bike lane in both directions, from just east of 34th ST to just before the big hill.
Public Works has a citizen comment line set up, ready to hear everyone's thoughts.
