GCC Members,

GCC's Annual Meeting and picnic is next Saturday, March 24th at San Felasco Park. This is our annual meeting, the one where Club Board Members are elected. All GCC members are invited to attend this event, and have a PubSub, on the Club! That's right, we'll be having everyone's favorite Publix deli subs as our main course.

Vegetarian subs will be available for our vegetarian members.  Subs and soft drinks are being provided by GCC.   All who attend plan to bring a side dish or dessert to share. Please RSVP ASAP on the GCC website so we know you're coming.

In addition to attending to GCC business and, of course, riding, we will also welcome Becky Afonso, Executive Director of the Florida Bicycle Association (FBA), to present to Florida Sen. Keith Perry FBA's 2017 Elected Official Champion Award.  Sen. Perry is being acknowledged for introducing a bill (SB 90) that would outlaw texting while driving. 

I invite everyone to attend the award ceremony honoring Sen. Perry for his efforts aimed at improving the safety of all road users.  The award will be presented at 1:00 p.m.  Consider this an opportunity to meet our District 8 FL Senator face-to-face, thank him, and chat with him about cycling-related issues that we’d like him to support in future!
