Subject: Michael Edmonds' Memorial Ride and Gainesville House of Beer Fundraiser

On April 15, 2012 we lost a beloved friend and teammate. A year gone is not a year forgotten, which is why we will hosting a second memorial ride for Mike to celebrate his life and the wonderful human being he was.

The plan is to meet at turlington plaza on Monday April 15, 2013 (at 5:50 pm) to spend some time commemorating as a cycling community and then going on a short group ride together on Mike's behalf.

Also, an organization stationed in Mikes hometown of Green cove Springs is hosting a community service project to help Mike's parents current living situation, which after their sons passing has deteriorated. We will be collecting money at the memorial ride for this cause. If you feel inclined to donate money, or time for manual labor working on their home, Mr. and Mrs. Edmonds would be forever gracious. You can bring cash to ride or make a check out to: Clay County 4-H—please note on the check “4-H Ham Jammers “. It can also be mailed to address: 3820 Ron Road, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.

Gainesville House of Beer has agreed to donate $1 for every beer purchased in Mike's name for this cause all night long! (all you have to do is say you are with Mike). We will head there soon after the memorial ride for a toast in his name. Would be awesome to have the support of the Gainesville Cycling Community since cycling and everyone involved in it made him the happiest.
