Lady Cyclists and Gentlemen who support us:
Would you like to participate in this event here locally?
CycloFemme is a Global Women's Cycling Day created TO HONOR THE PAST and the emancipation of our grandmothers and great-grandmothers, for the freedom to choose and the chance to wear pants. TO CELEBRATE THE PRESENT and the riders who keep it rolling, bringing women's racing to the forefront, pushing the limits, breaking down barriers and sharing the love of the bike with everyone along the way. TO EMPOWER THE FUTURE of women in cycling and the opportunity for positive social change. Encourage women to ride and they will change the world.
Ride With Us May 12, 2013 As the day draws closer, rides are registering around the world to celebrate CycloFemme - Global Women's Cycling Day! Ride with us this May 12, 2013 as we Honor the Past, Celebrate the Present, Empower the Future of Women in Cycling.
WE BELIEVE: That strong communities are built around strong women. That being on a bike brings you closer to your community, to nature, and to yourself. That from action comes change, and from visibility comes reality. And that independence, self-empowerment and personal strength are things we need every day.
It's as easy as riding a bike.
Get involved, take the pledge - it's easy all you need to do is inspire more women to ride a bicycle. If you are interested creating or joining a local ride here in Gainesville, please let me know. I believe we have enough time to set something up that will be a lot of fun.
