Hey Fellow GCC members!

   In the past emails have been sent out about discounts for bike riders and I wanted to let you know about another opportunity.  

   I am currently volunteering with the Bicycle Benefits program which is "a progressive bicycling program designed to reward individuals and businesses for their commitment to cleaner air, personal health, and the use of pedaling energy in order to create a more sustainable community."  

  Essentially you can purchase a sticker ($2.50 from me or $5 from a participating business), place it on your helmet, and get a discount at participating businesses.

  

    I will be at the Chili Picnic this Saturday and would love to get an idea from you folks where different groups go after their rides to eat, drink, hang out, etc.  This way I can speak to those businesses about participating in the program and give you discounts for being a patron with a bike and a sticker.
