There will be Cyclocross races on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 15 and 16 at The Rock trails, which are two miles west of I-75 on Newberry Road (State Road 26). Free admission for spectators.Spectators are encouraged to make noise with devices such as horns and especially cow bells to harass their favorite ridersCyclocross is a bicycle race that combines off-road cycling skills on dirt trails with some portions of pavement. Obstacles along the race course include stairs, difficult turns and other indignities. Most riders have modified road bikes with knobby tires.The will be a race for kids (free entry) as well as a variety of races for adult riders.
