There will be a guided bike ride in the Newnans Lake State Forest on Saturday Oct 14.  The ride starts at 8:30 at the Lake Pithlachocco Trailhead (which is east of Gainesville on State Road 26, across from the entrance to the North Florida Evaluation and Treatment Center) . The trails are dirt jeep roads, suitable for mountain bikes and hybrids.  These are gemtle trails, suitable for families.

There will also be a Butterfly Walk, starting from the West Trailhead at 9:00 a.m.  The West Trailhead is about 1/2 mile east of the Pithlacoochee Trailhead  on State Road 26e
