We rode tandems, out and back, a couple weeks ago. The trail work appeared to be complete, or at least very close to complete, at that time. There were a few places where puddles covered the trail but were very passable with moderate caution. We did see the Hokey Pokeys out there. Maybe Chandler can say more.
