Greetings one and all,

As we look ahead to the fall semester at UF and lots more people on the road soon in Gainesville, it is a useful time to revisit the vagaries of cycling best practice. Share the road, you know?

To that end, GCC will hold more editions of the "Basic Street Cycling" workshop in August. Complete with free stuff!

The dates:

Sunday, 13 August, 2-4 PM, Alachua County Headquarters Library

Tuesday, 15 August, 6-8 PM, Millhopper Branch Library

The blurb:

The workshop is free and open to all teens and adults who are interested in cycling more.
We will conduct a classroom workshop that emphasizes best practices for street cycling in urban areas.
The workshop will employ dialogues by participants in a safe space on numerous topics important for effective street cycling.

I am also planning an on-road workshop and a classroom part of the "Advanced Street Cycling" workshop, probably in September.

For more information, let me know.
