Hello, I was in the Newnan's Lake Conservation Area run by SJWMD. Lots of flat fast riding...but some loose sandy areas...it was easier, at the time, to ride parallel to the road track in the vegetation. What I did not realize was that vegetation was filled with sandspurs. I popped out of the woods at the bridge on 26 then rode back to the parking area. I noticed the bike was like pedaling a tugboat...then I felt why as my rear rim bottomed on the asphalt.  I stopped to look...there were, no kidding, hundreds of sandspurs in the 26x1.95 tire with likely thousands of spurs in the rubber. I have not had a chance to pull the tire, but my guess is I have several microscopic punctures in that tube and the tire will be a loss since it would take hours to remove all the spurs.

So...in the collective wisdom of GCC...anyone got a suggestion of a good Kevlar tire-thorn resistant tube combo?  I do not want to break the bank on this but want to cut down on the likelihood of flats from sandspurs.
