The Gainesville Cycling Club elects its Board of Directors in February of each year. We have eleven positions on the Board. Click here to see a description of each position.
We elect a new Member at Large each year, so we’re looking for candidates to run for that position. If you are interested in one of the other positions, we suggest you contact the incumbent in the position to get an idea of the duties they perform.
To run for a position, send me your name, a “campaign” statement, and a photo. I’ll put up candidate pages some time in December; the earlier you have stuff to me, the more exposure you’ll get. The deadline is January 31 (the election runs from Feb 1 through Feb 14).
The Board meets on Sunday evenings once a month. Board members take turns preparing a meal that is served before the meeting. When there is no conflict with an event, the meeting is generally on the first Sunday of the month.
