GCC Members,

Forward from Florida alum David Lavenhagen and SuperCool, very nice bike stolen from front of store, brand new.  Keep on lookout.  I didn't see this posted to club server, forgive if double post.

Stolen Test Bike
Hello Friends of Super Cool.  We need your help!

Today one of our test bike was stolen from in front of our shop.

The bike is a 2013 Specialized Stumpjumper, Carbon Hardtail 29er, Size Large.  The bike looks just like the one pictured here, plus the addition of a silver stem and pedals with toe clips and straps.

The suspect rode a Magna BMX style bike, pictured here.

Any information leading to the recovery will be rewarded.

Thank you again for biking with us.

Sincerely,

Martin, Cabe, Chris, John, Pete, Dan, Gaby, Dayna, Levi and Richard.

GCCMail: Nitehawks = Wolfpack Hustle?

Lets try this again; something messed up the link; or I did.

Are Bob Newman and Jo Weaver starting one of these traditions in Gainesville with their new Nighthawk rides?  Join in with them as they prowl the mean streets of Gainesville after dark and find out.    ;-)

GCCMail: Bridge Reconstruction on 156th Ave - complete?

Greetings all,

Does anybody know if the 156th Avenue bridge reconstruction (West of 237) is complete?  Approximately one month ago, the site resembled a gaping chasm.

Regards,

Jayson

GCCMail: Needed: A few good ovens

Over the past several years, the Club has tried getting our turkeys for the Holiday Party from Publix (they are well prepared, but arrive refrigerated) and from a caterer (last year’s processed turkey loaf – ugh).

This year’s event is on Friday, December 7.  We’re looking for a few members who can each roast a turkey and bring it to the Senior Center before 6 pm.  If you work on Fridays you obviously are not a candidate (unless you need an excuse to take a vacation day).  The Club will buy the turkeys and provide an aluminum roasting pan.

The number of birds we’ll need will depend on the number who sign up for the event, but I’m thinking four should do i t, so we need at least four ovens.  We’ll put any additional volunteers on hot standby in case we get a higher sign up than expected.

Reply by email if you have an available oven!
