Hello All

I’ve received an update regarding the work on the Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail.

Throughout this week (we’ll plan for through Sunday 7/23), the section between 60^th Terrace and CR 234 is closed due to repaving. Visitors on the trail can pass on the side, but will need to walk on the dirt/grass, not on the pavement. It may be best to plan for an alternative route around this section if they prefer not to get off bikes and walk. This is the area near Prairie Creek, parallel to CR 2082, and was the section in greatest need of repair, so they removed the section down to the soil and have been rebuilding it.
