Hello fellow Friends of San Felasco Citizen Support Organization (CSO) and Gainesville Cycling Club (GCC) members. The 11th annual Tour de Felasco mountain bike event will be held on Saturday January 12, 2013. Many of you who volunteered in the past have already signed up to volunteer again (thanks). There are still a few volunteer positions that need to be filled:

Rider check-in, 7A to 10A: distribute wristbands and maps (2 positions available)
Sag stop #3, 12N to 4P: serve snacks to tiring riders (2 positions available)
Sag stop #4, 12N to 4:30P: serve snacks to really tired riders (1 position available)
Post-ride food 2P to 5P: serve pizza to exhausted but happy riders (2 positions)
Merchandise sales 1P to 5P: handle post-ride t-shirt sales (1 position)

There is also 1 position available on Friday January 11th 3:30P on the ninja-slice-and-dice crew, which will help Chandler prepare the famous Chicken Soup that will be served the next day to the riders.

The Tour is the primary fundraiser for San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park. Approximately 500 riders are expected (registration opened Oct 1 and filled within a few hours), so there will be lots of good bicycle energy! As a volunteer, you will receive a goodie bag with a long-sleeve t-shirt, plus an opportunity to spend a few hours in a beautiful state park, while helping cyclists enjoy their ride.
