I am sending this note via the general list serve as it may appeal to riders across several different groups.  In the past we have had occasional night rides during this time of year and even in the colder months of January and February at times.   I am trying to gauge interest in a regularly scheduled night ride once or twice a month (more often if desired), of course adequate front and rear lighting would be required.  My recommendation would be a minimum of 200 lumens on the front.  There is no such thing as too much light, it can always be adjusted if needed.  In past years we have ridden in both the area NW of town and on the flatter portion of the Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail (we have received special permission to do so).  The speed of the group would of course be determined by its participants, primarily in the 14-16 MPH range.
