Greetings one and all, but especially newbies to the GCC,

Just a reminder that 1) IT'S NATIONAL BIKE MONTH  and 2) the GCC is presenting multiple workshops on the "Basics of Street Cycling", starting tomorrow night at the Freewheel Project. All such workshops are free. More info appears below. 

You DO NOT have to be a GCC member to participate, and you don't have to bring your bike. If there is interest, we'll follow up the "Basics" course with on-road and "advanced" cycling workshops. 

GCC Presents: Basics of Street Riding
May is National Bike Month!
Do you want to ride smarter, ride confidently, and ride legally?
The Gainesville Cycling Club announces a “Basic Street Cycling” workshop to help you improve your cycling skills.
The workshop is free and open to all teens and adults who are interested in cycling more.
We will conduct a classroom workshop that emphasizes best practices for street cycling in urban areas.
The workshop will employ dialogues by participants in a safe space on numerous topics important for effective street cycling.
