VOLUNTEERING

Thanks to the 117 volunteers who have registered to help out for the Festival.  There are several more who have yet to do a registration, but we expect to fulfill their commitment.

We have only four openings left:

Thursday evening Packet Auditor  (includes Mia Apa dinner)

Thursday evening Packet Kitchen Staff

Sunday morning Loften Parking Crew (you’ll be able to start the ride at 8:30)

Sunday evening Unload Crew

RIDERS

We currently have 747 persons signed up to ride or volunteer at the Festival.  Of our 1117 club members, only 234 are registered to participate in the premier cycling event in Gainesville for the year!  If only half of our members were to participate, we’d shatter our attendance records.  (Note that half of our members who are participating are volunteering.)

Don’t forget to do a registration form online before coming to the ride (if you are unable to register before midnight Wednesday).  The cost per ride for club members is $25 with the form, $40 without.  Make sure you access the form through the Members Area to ensure you get club rates.

The weekend kicks off with the gala Stable Party on Friday night at the Boys Club.  Beatrice Solis will once again be serving gourmet heavy hors d’oeuvres.  Pick up your packet and avoid the hassle on ride day.
