It begins with shovels, shop brooms, and hard rakes - and pick 'em up
trucks if you own one. Meet at the Hipp just before 6:00, and we will
drive the long route (excluding the Dungarvin loop, Evinston and short
Wachahoota)... cleaning up debris along the way. Last year's cleanup was highly successful, but we need more people this time around. There are the standard gravel driveways along 441 - and the crap on SR20 - but there are two other sections I would like to address: namely wire strands galore left over from a blown tire strung out the *entire* way down the north side of Orange Lake hill. Those wire strands are responsible for countless flats. I would also like to broom, or flat shovel, away the gravel in the median when turning left onto short Wachahoota - at least two riders go down a year in that median alone. If enough people show, then we will disperse in different directions. The primary tools needed are flat shovels and giant shop brooms - and a car, of course. Hope to see you Monday. mk ps: You can still help if you can't make it. If you are riding any part of the course (e.g., Orange Lake), please stop for a moment to remove debris. Thank you.
