The Saddle Tramps will ride Sunday, September 25th, from Flemington Park on the Horse Farm Tours route as preparation for the GCC Cycling Festival next month. There will be a 25 and a 30 mile option, and for those who wish to ride more miles, an additional approximately 7 miles can be added on by doing the 110th Street Loop at the lower end of the Horse Farm Hundred. Maps are available on the GCC website. Be there at 7:30 for an on-time departure at 7:45 a.m.

To find the Park, directions from I-75 as well as Hwy. 441 are as follows: (Flemington Park is located at the intersection of C.R. 318 and C.R. 329 in Marion County.)

From I-75 take the first exit past Micanopy, which is C.R. 318, and go three miles west to the stop sign at C.R. 329; turn right and very quickly turn left into the park.

From Hwy 441 if you are coming from Gainesville, turn right just before Micanopy on C.R. 234 going south about 8 miles from 441. When you cross into Marion County, 234 becomes C.R.329. Just before C.R. 318 turn right into Flemington Park.

There are bathrooms at Flemington and a convenience store toward the end of the ride. Bring a snack and plenty of water or sports drink. This is a wonderfully scenic ride with plenty of hills, so bring legs.
