Besides eating turkey, a tradition at our Holiday Party is to have a Gift Exchange Game.

If you will participate in the game, bring a wrapped gift with you on Saturday evening (one gift per participant – ONLY!).

When you check in, we will have a label with your name on it.  When you place your gift under the tree, make sure this label is placed in the drawing box.  For each gift under the tree, there must be one and only one name in the box.  You will also receive a set of three “Get Out of Jail Free” stickers (more on these later).

When the game starts, the Master of Ceremonies will draw a name from the box.  The lucky player will select a gift from under the tree and open it as quickly as possible.  The Elf will provide the player with a gift sheet and place their name sticker on the sheet, while the Master of Ceremonies describes the gift to the assembled multitudes.  The player then proceeds to the Bazaar, a series of tables near the tree, where the gift is placed along with the gift sheet.  Stay with your gift to defend, or try to sell, it to other players.

Subsequent players have the option to obtain a gift from under the tree, or select one from the Bazaar.  To select a Bazaar gift, place one of your “Get Out of Jail Free” stickers on the gift sheet, sending the previous owner to the tree, or to get another gift from the Bazaar.  You cannot take back a Bazaar gift that you just lost, and are limited to three trips to the Bazaar (one per sticker).  All gifts remain in the Bazaar until the game ends.

The game ends when the last gift is taken from under the tree.  The provider of the gift that accumulates the most stickers will receive special recognition (if they dare identify themselves!).
