Saturday Sept 12 , Strays will meet in Myrtis to ride 32 of the most scenic northern miles of the Santa Fe Century. This will include the Feagle roads. This portion is never seen by people who do the 55 mile ride, or the Millhopper Ramble, and is the very best of the entire Santa Fe Century. This is a ride Strays do about twice a year.

Meet at 9 am for a 9:15 am departure.

Ride speed range 2.5 - 46 mph, varying with terrain.

Average speed in recent times has typically been 11 - 14 mph,  This ride has a few moderate hills.

There will be a convenience store / rest room opportunity at the beginning of the ride, and a visit to Kelly's Horse Farm at about the 15 mile point. Bring your own mid-ride snacks.

After the ride the hungry will head to a local restaurant in High Springs or Alachua, restaurant choice based on group consensus.

No pace lines, no wheel sucking, no racing, just a fun social ride.

Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides, mirrors recommended, headphones and music machines forbidden.

Safety protocols are always observed on Strays rides

To get to Myrtis from Gainesville:
From the intersection of NW 39th ave. and I-75 take I-75 north for 24
miles. Exit I-75 to 441-41 at exit 414. Go north on 441-41 for 4.5 miles.
The convenience store will be on your left just before the light.

Park in Myrtis (Watermelon Park area). This will be at the corner of the convenience store
parking lot at the intersection of US 441 - 41 and county road 240. Park in the grassy area in the SW corner of the intersection near the light. This way we will not interfere with the business at the convenience store.
Some people prefer to park under the trees in the area directly north of the sausage factory, across the road from the convenience store; your choice.
