The Hokey Pokey group will join the EZ Riders and  visit Chiefland to ride the Nature Coast Trail on Saturday, Sept. 24.  Riders should meet at 8:45 a.m. for a 9:00  start.

This ride is on a paved bike trail (no cars!, and no hills!).   We will ride from Chiefland to Fanning Springs and then to the bridge over the Suwannee.   The ride will be 25 miles with NO HILLS!

There may also be a trip to a local thrift store and many of us will gather at Bob's Barbecue for a post ride feast.

Everyone is welcome to come on this ride (of course, you must wear a bike helmet).  Don't worry about being slow, no one is slower than me and we never leave anyone behind.

The ride will be chaperoned by the ride leader who will ride at the back of the group to make sure no one gets lost.  The ride leader is also a bicycle mechanic who can help fix flat tires and help with any other mechanical problems.

Directions to Chiefland Trailhead:   Take SR 26 (Newberry Road) West to Trenton, then turn Left (South) on US 129 to Chiefland.  Pick up US 19/98, and go South.  The old railroad depot that is now the Trailhead is at the South end of town, on your left.  Plenty of parking, and the restrooms are usually clean.
Why Hokey Pokey rides?
Cause that's what it's all about!
