Even though most riders on Saturday were in favor of renaming the Lo Bees the “Bees,” others thought that this would create too much confusion. So we’re now the “High Bees.”

This Saturday we will ride the northern part of the Santa Fe Century route (Columbia County), meeting in the parking lot between the two tourist traps at exit 404 on I-75 (the intersection with CR 236, commonly known by GCC members as “Traxler”). Meet at 9am for a 9:15am departure. Expect a distance of about 45 miles and a speed of about 17 mph.

I won’t be there this week, but Thomas will be bringing maps.

As Scott Pfaff just announced: It seems as though some of our members have been doing some stealth training over the winter J The Lo Bees and the Slo Bees are going to be changing their respective names to more accurately portray their speeds. The “Lo Bees” are going to change their name to “High Bees” with a speed of about 17 mph and the “Slo Bees” are going to take over the “Lo Bees” title with a speed of about 15-16 mph. The Ride Leaders for these groups will be posting a clear definition of the rides for the next few weeks in hopes of avoiding any confusion about the rides. If you have any questions regarding this change please do not hesitate to contact myself or the Ride Leaders so that we might clear up any confusion regarding this change.
